Monero-chan is the unofficial mascot the Monero community drew for itself. She first showed up in Japan in 2017, as a cool-headed secretary on a site that turned every coin into a girl. Since 2021 the community keeps her alive, paying artists in XMR one commission at a time. No one controls her.
She stands for what the coin does. Where other chains publish every balance and every transfer, Monero hides the sender, the receiver and the amount by default. Monero-chan is that idea with a face: present, confident, and impossible to trace.
Private by default, no premine.
A Japanese site draws Monero as a poker-faced secretary: "I never leak a client's information."
Anons collect XMR to commission her, first at neocities, then as @XMRArtFund.
mi_me_i's dandelion field, then GIE's beach volleyball and Wild West.
Fifty-plus commissions, cosplay shoots and a VTuber model at monerochan.art.
Twenty-nine new drawings and two songs from the community turnaround.
Monero's strength has also been its problem. Every transaction is private, with no way to switch it off, and that is exactly what regulators and big exchanges struggle with.
Zcash took another path: transparent addresses by default, shielded ones when you want them. That optional side lets it stay listed and packaged for institutions. Monero has no transparent side, so it keeps getting pushed out.
XMR as a wrapped token on Solana. You buy it from any Solana wallet, it trades like any other token, and it carries no privacy-coin label for an exchange to worry about. When you want privacy there, a zero-knowledge pool like Privacy Cash can break the link between wallets.
Native XMR on its own chain. Ring signatures, stealth addresses and hidden amounts on every transaction, by default. With FCMP++, the ring of 16 grows to the whole chain, so on-chain privacy gets much stronger.
Where most on-chain trading happens today: cheap, fast, one wallet away for millions of people who will never open a Monero wallet.
The pool trades $MONEROCHAN against wrapped $XMR, not SOL. Every buy and every sell moves real XMR liquidity on Solana.
Trading fees are redistributed to holders in $XMR. Hold the mascot, collect the coin.
Launched on StonkFun, a launchpad that pairs tokens with real assets instead of SOL, to stay neutral.
One asset. Public liquidity on Solana. Private transactions on Monero.
What to know: a wrapped token is only as good as whoever holds the real XMR behind it or runs the bridge. Check that issuer before buying. Fee yield depends on trading volume and is not guaranteed. On Solana the token is public until you move it through a privacy pool, and it only becomes Monero-private once you redeem it for native XMR. Nothing here is financial advice.
The classic community turnaround used for every image on this page. Feed it to any image model as a reference.
The text block that keeps her the same person across models. Paste it after your scene description.
Monero-chan: very long straight black hair with a bright orange inner underlayer, amber-orange eyes, orange cropped high-collar top with a white-trimmed black Monero M logo on the chest, black bralette under it, black fingerless elbow sleeves, orange mini skirt with a small Monero logo, black thigh-high stockings, orange heels, tiny orange Monero coin earrings. She must look exactly like the girl in the reference sheet.
Any AI agent draws her on-model: reference sheets, her full description, and one script for images and videos (kie.ai key needed). Paste this in a terminal, then ask “make a Monero-chan image of…”.
